This Maple Valley homeowner wanted an outdoor living space that could be used year-round despite the PNW weather. We built a 300 square foot composite deck with a covered pergola structure using polycarbonate roofing panels that let in natural light while keeping the rain out. The deck includes a built-in counter and grill prep area, composite railing for low maintenance, and electrical runs for overhead lighting and weatherproof outlets. The home backs up to the Cedar River Trail, and the deck takes full advantage of the view.
