Full shingle tear-off, new 5/8 CDX plywood overlay, synthetic underlayment, 24-gauge standing seam metal in Matte Black, snow guards, new box gutters.
This modern Bayside home overlooking Port Gardner Bay had a composition shingle roof that didn’t match the home’s contemporary architecture. The owner wanted to upgrade to standing seam metal for both aesthetics and longevity. We tore off the existing shingles, installed a plywood overlay for a perfectly smooth surface, and laid 24-gauge standing seam panels in Matte Black. Snow guards were installed above entry points and walkways, and we replaced the gutters with a custom box gutter system that matches the home’s clean lines.
