Valley tear-out and re-flash, ice-and-water shield installation, shingle replacement in affected area, gutter cleaning and re-alignment at valley discharge point.
This Boulevard Bluffs homeowner had been chasing a valley leak for three years, two previous contractors had patched the shingles without finding the root cause. Our inspection revealed that the original valley flashing was undersized and had corroded through, allowing water to seep under the shingles during heavy rain. We tore out the entire valley section, installed proper ice-and-water shield and new metal flashing, replaced the surrounding shingles, and re-aligned the gutter at the valley discharge point.
