This Pine Lake estate home’s 22-year-old cedar shake roof had reached the end of its lifespan with widespread splitting and cupping. The homeowner wanted to maintain the home’s premium look with another cedar shake roof. We tore off the existing shakes, repaired several areas of soft decking, installed Grace Ice & Water Shield at all eaves and valleys, and laid premium #1 Blue Label hand-split cedar shakes. The rebuilt chimney cricket and copper valley flashing ensure excellent water management for decades to come.
