Remove old 5-inch gutters, install 6-inch seamless aluminum, oversized 4x5 downspouts, heated cable system at problem eave, new underground drain connections.
This large Rainier Valley home with multiple roof planes and valleys was experiencing gutter overflow and ice dam issues every winter. We upgraded to 6-inch seamless aluminum gutters with oversized 4x5 downspouts to handle the high water volume from the complex roof geometry. A heated cable system along one particularly problematic north-facing eave prevents ice dam formation. New underground drain connections direct water to the street, keeping the foundation dry year-round.
